The advanced HyperHEPA pleat design allows IQAir designers to build in 60 square feet of surface area – five times more than the surface area of a conventional pleated air filter. The result is increased airflow and better filter loading, which widens replacement intervals and reduces costs.
Money saving technology
Typical three-month replacement intervals with lower quality filters can be extended to 12 months with the NanoMax filtration technology. And unlike conventional commercial HEPA filters, NanoMax filters require little or no alterations to existing HVAC systems. Increased productivity, lower infection rates, higher attendance, lower health care costs, and higher employee retention have all been associated with improved air quality.
Extraordinarily effective
The advanced HyperHEPA filtration features 5 filtration effects:
Straining Effect: Captures particles > 100 μm too large to fit between fibers.
Impingement Effect: Particles > 10 μm collide with and attach to fibers
Interception Effect: Particles < 10 μm are captured by proximity to the fiber.
Electrostatic Attraction: Electrostatic charges of fibers attract and capture particles < 10 μm.
Diffusion: Particles < 0.1 μm bounce around and collide with fibers.
A new generation of air filters
Available in 28 sizes, NanoMax reduces fine and ultrafine particles by up to 95% and harmful traffic pollutants. NanoMax filters eliminate the need for costly upgrades to a building’s HVAC system typically associated with HEPA filters. NanoMax filters require no prefilters, fit into standard 2” filter slots, and have pressure drops fully compatible with standard HVAC systems.
Ultrafine particles are less than 0.1 microns in size. However, in sheer volume, ultrafine particles account for over 90% of all particles in the air. NanoMax filters fine and ultrafine particles and harmful traffic pollutants, helping reduce the need for costly upgrades to a building’s HVAC system typically associated with HEPA filters. NanoMax filters require no prefilters, fit into standard 2” filter slots, and have pressure drops fully compatible with standard HVAC systems.
WedgeSeal Design
Efficiency of NanoMax filters is dramatically boosted because all the air moving through the system is filtered, without leakage. Most HVAC filters allow up to 30% of the air to bypass the filter, dramatically lowering overall efficiency. NanoMax filters feature a unique, IQAir-designed, wedge-shaped seal that increases overall efficiency by ensuring that all the air in the airstream is filtered.
Case Study: California classrooms
In a 2009 study by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), the largest local environmental protection agency in the United States, IQAir NanoMax filters were found to reduce ultrafine particles (particles smaller than 0.1 microns in diameter) and diesel soot (black carbon) in fully occupied school classrooms by up to 90%. No other panel filters in the study came close to the performance of IQAir’s filtration technology.

Let your HVAC system breathe easy again
The pressure drop of NanoMax filters are compatible to MERV 8/10 filters. NanoMax filters ensure the highest performance filtration with maximum airflow and whole-building coverage. The advanced design and superior performance make NanoMax the ideal solution for enhancing indoor air quality in commercial environments.
